Established in 1987, The Assembly of God Church Vocational School was started with the sole objective of bringing to the youth skills and expertise leading to employment. Set up in Park Street, offering 20 courses, the institute has grown by leaps and bounds. It was shifted to a new building in 2010 to Tangra and is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities. The institute has received approval from the Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGET) under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India, and has trained in 18 approved courses under this affiliation. The Courses vary from 120 to 600 hours. The facility has an ISO 9001:2008 certification. The School provides short courses in Tailoring, Beauty, Make-Up and Hair, Basic Computer, and Tally. Besides short courses, it also offers a one-year Certificate programme in Food & Beverage Production and Services.
